Hello, again dear friends!
March was such a fun month! Peter’s Birthday was the 2nd; we had a snowstorm;
our friends, the Niednagels, hosted a 19th Century Historic Ball on the 7th… Yes, it was a very fun month indeed!
Have fun looking through the pictures!
First off, I would like to wish a very late Happy 21st Birthday to my big brother Peter!!
I am so incredibly thankful that the Lord has given me a brother that is so caring and protective of his family.
He was such a cute baby!
And has grown to be such a wonderful man of God!

Emma Jane shows us how much sleet we got one day. She is standing on a drift and touching the roof.
Rosie and Papa experiment in making an ice rink.
Bootskating on the creek!
Paul loved it!
Grace goes as an Elvis impersonator! How about we call her Elvelyn?
Rose always looks so cute. Even with her neon jacket and scarf.
Elvelyn does her Good Samaritan work and helps Aunt Maud along.
Hey, little one!
Happy, Happy, Happy!
The whole creek was frozen. It was awesome!
I love this picture of the Wild Oats against the snow!
This picture was taken immediately after Elvelyn fell through the ice. I guess she’s not so groovy now…
Aunt Maud tests the ice with her stick to make sure she does not end up with the same fate as her Good Samaritan.
Finishing up some last minute sewing before the Big Ball!
My readers, I present to you my young friend, Mr. Bingley.
Taking a break from our sewing to spend some time outside for some winter sports!
“Just keep walking, walking, walking…”
Getting ready to go slipping, sledding, sliding, or whatever else becomes our fancy!
Paul and Emma chose sliding.
Love this picture.
This is one of our favourite winter sports! Someone drives the Polaris, and then the rest of us take turns getting tossed to and fro on a trash bag.
Peter takes his turn.
The boys decided to try and do it while standing…
Grace and Sarah tip over a hay bale for the little people to slide down.
I prefer to pose next to said hay bale.
By the look on Sarah’s face, I’m figuring somebody’s on the other side of the camera about to launch a snowball!
Ben came and visited for a few days. I’m guessing this is him, and not Sasquatch.
Here he is. 🙂 Thanks for helping with the garden, Ben!
(BTW: This picture was taken the day before the previous one. That’s Missouri for ya.)
And so ends the Winter Wonderland that we’ve lived in for the past three months!
Now, we are transported back 100+ years to a magnificent night where Beautiful Belles and Gallant Gentlemen fill the room!
There is singing, dancing, and wonderful Christian fellowship!
The Woods family.
Amy March and Margaret Dashwood.
My parents.
It was so good to finally meet you, Anna!
Mr and Mrs Jeremy Niednagel were such a lovely couple!
Michael did a good job of looking serious in this picture. Or maybe he’s glaring at me… Hmmm..
Hi, girls!
Wonderful conversation!
So cute together!
“Bow to your partner”
One always needs a refreshment after a dance!
Tessa looked beautiful!
Mrs Zook was able to attend!
Papa and Jeremy decided not to come as lumberjacks (their original idea), but instead chose the role of Country Gentlemen.
Mr and Mrs Michael Doolin!
(and Baby Dooly)
Christoper sweetly helped Emma with understanding the dances.
“To be fond of dancing was a certain step towards falling in love.”~ Jane Austen
The host and hostess! They were such an elegant couple!
I love this picture!
These girls definitely deserved to win the most authentically dressed prize! I loved their outfits!
This picture is so sweet!
Such a sweet couple!
Grant and Kitty are such jolly dancing partners!
Papa loves his little girl!
I love this picture of Mrs Thomas! She is so expressive!
Kitty looked so pretty!
Happy people!
We somehow lost our posed picture of Mrs Thomas and Mama, so this one will have to work.
Mr Underwood’s remark when he saw this next picture was; “You know Markie, I used to have high regard for your Mother until I saw her biting this woman’s nose, and the lady screaming.” He was kidding, of course!
The Underwoods, and future Underwood.
Who can say no to Emma!
Best friends.
The future Mr and Mrs Dylan Underwood.
And another beautiful picture of my favorite married sister and brother-in-law!
Elizabeth and her Papa.
My elegant Mama.
Thank you Niednagels for hosting this wonderful event!
The extended Discher Family.
Thank y’all so much for joining us in reviewing our month!
Don’t forget to leave a comment!
Looks like a wonderful time. The costumes are all so spectacular.
Beautiful pictures. There was a lot of fun last month for your family. I enjoyed the pictures of the ball the best. I felt like I was reading a picture story of Little Women while attending a ball. 🙂 Thank you for sharing.
Markie, thank you so much for sharing these. It looks like y’all had a great month. 🙂
