September- The coming of Autumn, AND a special necklace…

On the first of September, for Labor Day Weekend, our family went on a camping trip.
It’s so wonderful living on 200 acres! You practically have your own national forest! 😀

And finally, on September 21st, 2013, Gracie entered into a courtship with Dylan Underwood.
Grace met Dylan in July at the Soveriegn Grace Youth Camp. They were both counselors, and had many things in common. Since then, we have been seeing much of their family. Dylan is a wonderful man of God and we are very excited to see what the Lord will do through this relationship! 🙂

Of course Rose was peeking out the window, Michael was taking a glance here and there and I was nobly taking pictures for the rest of the family since they weren’t here for the big event 😉

“Maggie dear, just won’t go out alone
Seems that she must have a chaperone
When we go out no matter where we’re bound
There’s always somebody around
“She brings her father, her mother
Her sister and her brother
Woah, I never see Maggie alone
She brings her uncle, her cousin
She’s got ’em by the dozens
You know that’s why I never see Maggie alone”
There are two tradtions during a courtship in our family. One, the couple has their picture taken in front of the fireplace. And two, the couple goes milk the cows together at least once! ;)

Aha! Now you know the reason for the interesting Blog Title! 😀
In all seriousness, though. Please pray for our family as we go through this season of change. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. […] Camp this past July where they were both counsellours. Dylan asked permission to court Grace in September. We are so thankful that the Lord has brought someone into Grace’s life who will love her as […]

  2. Oh! I did not know that Gracie was courting. This is such special news! I hope all goes well for them!

  3. Becky E says:

Enjoyed your pictures very much. Milking cows sounds like an amusing courtship tradition.

And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
